Saxton Rose's Fingering Chart
The following are my primary fingerings for each note of the German system bassoon. It contains the fingerings I have developed and learned to use on my bassoon, bocal and reed style. This list is by no means comprehensive and of course does not represent the many mute, trill and alternate fingerings available. For a more thorough representation please see the IDRS fingering chart compiled by Terry B. Ewell or Cooper and Toplanky's comprehensive book, Essentials of Bassoon Technique.

Additionally
- The high E flat and E natural keys are offset on my instrument
- Alternate fingerings, when given, are generally not presented in order of preference. Choosing a fingering is dependent on situational factors.
